Hi
I thought I'd followed your instructions, but obviously have done something wrong somewhere, cos it keeps sending error messages when I try to use the macro

Dear Galen & Kate
To use the macro, you just highlight a word and click on Ctrl-q (ie q for quick)
It does all the work for you.
The instructions look daunting, but just step through one at a time - it should work easily.
If you get stuck, just tell me.
To install this macro:
* open the attachment
* click on menu "Edit", then "Select all"
* click on menu "Edit", then "Copy"
* open Word
* click on menu "Tools", "Macro", "Macros"
* in "Macro name:" type "ESV" and click on "Create"
* click on menu "Edit" then "Paste"
* click on menu "File" then "Close"
To make the macro work with a keystroke:
* open Word
* click on menu "Tools", "Customize"
* click on "Keyboard"
* put the cursor in "Press new shortcut key" and press Ctrl-q
* in "Categories" click on "Macros" (near the end of the list)
* in "Macros", click on "ESV"
* click on "Assign" then "Close" and "close"
That's it.
Now highlight a word and click Ctrl-q
